Manakhah Farmers Replace 2,500 Qat Trees with Coffee
On 7 November, residents of Akamat al-Maqab village in Manakhah, Sana’a Governorate, launched an initiative to replace 2,500 qat trees with coffee plants. The project promotes sustainable agriculture and higher-value cash crops, but no investment budget, coffee purchase price or expected sales value was announced. The initiative creates opportunities in coffee cultivation, agricultural inputs, processing and sustainable supply chains. HPC can support agricultural feasibility studies, sustainability assessments and coffee-market research.
